Consultancy
I can offer impartial consultancy services on both design& planning issues. You may want another pair of eyes to give an independent review of a scheme or you may want some specific planning advice without the design service. In addition I have excellent contacts with independent specialists within the field of Building Physics and Passiv Haus. Planning Consent
Having spent five years in the planning department as a both a Planning Officer and as the Department Architect. I have a unique understanding of the process.
Most projects will require planning permission. Some smaller works are considered ‘Permitted Development’ and do not need permission. A guide to this can be found on the States of Jersey’s Planning website.
The level of information needed for the submission of a planning application can vary significantly depending on the type and size of development. I can advise and guide you through this process as well as help interpret the Planning policies, increasing the likelihood of success of an application.
The planning process can take 8-13 weeks, although this may be longer for sites/projects with complex policy issues. The receipt of a planning approval does not mean that you can start to build.
